LA PARADOJA DEL DOPPELGÄNGER EN MIENTRAS AMEMOS DE RODOLFO USIGLI

Resumen

En este trabajo utilizo el conocido principio de lógica aristotélico para problematizar la bivalencia que maneja Rodolfo Usigli sobre sus personajes y sobre la percepción de la verdad que obtienen en la obra Mientras amemos. En esta pieza teatral de Usigli, el protagonista usurpa la identidad de otro y de esa manera Usigli plantea el objetivo de la obra, el cual es desentrañar la verdad, ya sea con resultados positivos o negativos. Sin embargo, por lo regular se tiende a dar una interpretación binaria con respecto a la intención de la verdad. La tesis que postulo en esta investigación es que, en la intención de la verdad, existe una tercera interpretación que frecuentemente es excluida, y es la del propio usurpador que interpreta una identidad que no es la suya. Este es el tercero excluido en las piezas usiglianas. De esta manera podemos aproximarnos más a una respuesta a la problematización de las formas de la verdad en los dramas de Usigli, dado que algunos personajes realizan acciones falsas que cobran su propia categoría de realidad.

Abstract:

In this work I use the well-known Aristotelian principle of logic to problematize the bivalence that Rodolfo Usigli handles about his characters and about the perception of the truth that they obtain in the work Mientras amemos. In this play by Usigli, the protagonist usurps the identity of another and in this way Usigli sets out the objective of the play, which is to unravel the truth, whether with positive or negative results. However, usually there is a tendency to give a binary interpretation with respect to the intention of the truth. The thesis that I postulate in this research is that, in the intention of truth, there is a third interpretation that is frequently excluded, and it is that of the usurper himself who interprets an identity that is not his own. This is the third excluded in the usiglian pieces. In this way we can get closer to an answer to the problematization of the forms of truth in Usigli's dramas, given that some characters carry out false actions that receive their own category of reality.
